A simple and delicious Graham Cracker Crumble made with crushed graham crackers, butter, sugar, and optional cinnamon and vanilla. Perfect as a topping for desserts like parfaits, ice cream, or yogurt, this crumble is baked to a golden, fragrant perfection and crisps up as it cools.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve graham crackers (9 sheets of 4 crackers), roughly crushed
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons sugar (granulated or light/dark brown, your choice)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • pinch kosher or fine sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers, sugar, salt, and cinnamon if using. Add the melted butter and vanilla extract if desired, then stir well to coat the crumb mixture evenly.
  3. Spread and Bake: Spread the crumb mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 minutes, or until the crumbs turn a light golden brown and become fragrant. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning as times may vary.
  4. Cool and Crumble: Remove from the oven and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. It will be soft when hot but will crisp up as it cools. Once cooled, break it up into crumbles.
  5. Store: Store the graham cracker crumble in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature, 1 week in the refrigerator, or 3 months in the freezer. Bring back to room temperature before using as a topping.

Notes

  • Use your preferred sugar type: granulated, light brown, or dark brown sugar all work well.
  • Optional vanilla and cinnamon add extra flavor but can be omitted if desired.
  • Watch the crumble carefully while baking as oven temperatures and cracker brands can vary, affecting bake time.
  • To crush graham crackers quickly, place them in a resealable bag and crush with a rolling pin or pulse briefly in a food processor.
  • This crumble is ideal for topping ice cream, yogurt, parfaits, or other desserts to add texture and flavor.
