These Cheesy Garlic Butter Rollups are a quick and delicious appetizer or snack featuring crescent roll dough filled with melty mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Brushed with a fragrant garlic butter mixture and baked until golden, they are perfect for parties or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

For the Rollups:

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Garlic Butter:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For Garnish (Optional):

  • Chopped fresh parsley
  • Extra Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  3. Assemble the Rollups: Sprinkle 1 to 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella and a light sprinkle of Parmesan cheese onto each triangle.
  4. Roll Each Triangle: Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle up to the tip, enclosing the cheese inside, and place them seam side down on the baking sheet.
  5. Make the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt.
  6. Brush with Garlic Butter: Generously brush the garlic butter over each rollup, reserving some for garnish after baking if desired.
  7. Bake: Bake the rollups for 12 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese inside is melted.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Optionally, sprinkle chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese over the warm rollups before serving.

Notes

  • Use your favorite melty cheese in place of mozzarella, such as cheddar or provolone.
  • Make sure to brush the garlic butter generously for the best flavor and a crispy, golden exterior.
  • If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, add an extra clove of minced garlic to the butter mixture.
  • To make these ahead, assemble the rollups and brush with garlic butter, then refrigerate until ready to bake.
  • Serve warm for the best cheesy pull-apart texture.
